Ashley VG Thomas

Ashley VG Thomas is the Director of Recruiting and DE&I at Kaplan Hecker & Fink LLP.

At Kaplan Hecker, Ashley manages the execution of attorney, law student and staff recruiting functions, in addition to creating and implementing new diversity initiatives and strategies.

Ashley joins the firm from McKinsey & Company where she was the Global Women’s and Diversity Recruiting Initiatives Manager. In this position, she was responsible for women’s and diversity initiatives at the global level, and she helped launch the first firmwide targeted hiring plan for candidates with disabilities, chronic illnesses, and mental health challenges. Preceding this role, Ashley was the Manager of Recruiting Operations for the North America Undergraduate recruiting team. In this role she managed a team of recruiters focused on hiring full-time and intern roles globally from North America undergraduate programs. Prior to her roles at McKinsey & Company, she held various legal recruiting positions at highly regarded law firms, including Hunton & Williams, LLP, Morrison & Foerster, LLP, and Ropes & Gray, LLP.

Ashley received her B.A., cum laude, from George Washington University.
