Michael Peters

Michael Peters is the Director of Information Security at Kaplan Hecker & Fink LLP.

Michael joined Kaplan Hecker from L Catterton where he served as Vice President and Deputy Chief Information Security Officer. Recruited as the first security officer in the organization, Michael ensured security of the firm's global systems, users, devices, and networks. He developed a cybersecurity risk remediation program, conducted system vulnerability assessments, and was part of the audit and incident response teams. Prior to his experience in private equity, Michael held various consulting and nonprofit technology roles, including a position at Lewis Rice performing both system administration and litigation support duties.

Michael is currently attending New York University for his M.S. in Cybersecurity. He is a graduate from Saint Louis University where he received his B.S. in Computer Information Systems with a focus on Cybersecurity.
